my favorite tree, looks like something out of Dr. Suess

Snow!

We got about 3.5 inches of snow today, fun times! Me and mom played hooky from work and have had a nice lazy day.

Osaka Apartment

Trying to get my photos organized, and found this one of my apartment building. This lovely shiny silver hallway is why it's called the spaceship buildling. Thankfully the inside of my apartment did not resemble aluminum foil, though the walls were neon green and neon orange when I moved in, which I quickly painted over. No idea why someone thought those colors were a good idea in a tiny apartment.

Here's to the New Year

So am still having reverse culture shock moments, but they aren't as bad as when I first got here. I had a great New Year's in Seattle thanks to my awesome friends, and had another job interview today, so I feel I'm off to a good start. My interview today was for a company that, among other things, sells a teriyaki sauce, and I got 2 bottles when I left. An interview that comes with presents- awesome! Am hoping a job works out soon so I can avoid total insanity and boredom.

Tomorrow I go renew my driver's license, so let the birthday festivities begin! Turning 25 on Monday, I'm hoping my first birthday in the US since university will be a good one. There will sadly be no kareoke box, but there will be dancing. Those in the Portland area, get ready!

Happy New Year
